Internship — Quantum Error Correction

We are offering a Quantum Error Correction Internship for candidates who have a solid foundation in quantum mechanics and computing concepts but are looking to deepen their practical skills in QEC techniques. Spanning 3–6 months, this internship is designed for students or early-career individuals who are eager to apply and expand their knowledge in a professional research setting. You will work alongside our experts, contributing to cutting-edge quantum projects while receiving mentorship and exposure to real-world challenges in fault-tolerant quantum computing.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-On Learning: Assist in designing, testing, and optimizing basic error-correcting codes and fault-tolerant circuits.
- Simulation & Tools: Gain practical experience with leading simulation frameworks to model quantum circuits and noise processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quantum hardware specialists, software engineers, and research scientists.
- Research & Analysis: Investigate contemporary QEC methods and present findings to internal teams.
- Project Support: Contribute to ongoing R&D initiatives, helping to refine both theoretical models and experimental protocols.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or PhD program in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience in quantum computing is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
- Basic understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra.
- Exposure to quantum frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning advanced QEC principles and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
